"I love having greenery in my home because they can make a space feel warm and inviting. I feel extremely happy to be surrounded by plants while I‘m sitting on the couch or having dinner."

Most plants need to be watered at least once a week.

Hilton Carter gave Terrain advice about watering plants too.

"I try to water the plants during the weekends, as I have the most free time then. Most plants need to be watered at least once a week. Before I water a plant, I check if the soil has gone dry by sticking my finger into the soil. I keep track of watering by setting a reminder on my phone."

The blog A Cup Of Jo asked Hilton which plants to choose.

"The first thing to figure out when you want to buy a plant is what kind of light you have. Get to know your window — is it east-facing, north-facing? Then go to the nursery or hardware store. Always talk to the people working there about which plants will work best for you — and let them tell you how to care for them."

Dwell's magazine asked how to fit so many plants in a home.

"Use your vertical as well as horizontal space. In our bedroom, I decided it would be awesome to hang a plant over our bed. My wife Fiona to weaved a hammock-like holder for the plant."
